Matt, I was thrilled to read your defiant, precise, and stirring words. The urge toward freedom and justice is often dormant, but once awakened, is a powerful force and a bond among free men and women who choose to act as adults, not pseudo-children. Onward! And congrats on that settlement.

I feel your frustration Mathew. I'm out campaigning for Jill and the folks, post debate, that are still into denial is beyond my comprehension. It's depressing and scary how both parties thru gaslight tactics have turned their constitiients into zombies...the walking dead.

What the debate confirmed is that the US president does not control domestic or foreign policy. Biden obviously doesn't, and Trump obviously didn't either. It's time to stop talking about them as being in charge of anything.

Matt, this is so damn good in so many ways. The icing on the cake is the old Genesis video. I remember seeing it for the first time and being blown away that it was on network TV. Wonder if it could be today? Keep "running your mouth" as you call it and running your keyboard, brother!!

You nailed it, Matt on the current "vote blue no matter who" mantra on democrats, from strangers to people I know that are democrats; their support for Biden would be comical if not that to me it's simply insane. From Biden's awful career record to his performance on the debate, it's beyond me why these die hard dems can't even think of voting for someone else. Great essay btw.

Righteous Words for sure. I loved the Genesis rendition at the bottom. Lifted my drooping spirits.

Land of confusion indeed. When people look back at this generation (if there's anyone left to look back, that is) I'm certain they'll draw parallels to Germany in the 1930s. Corporations rule us and don't even bother to disguise their willing brain dead puppets like Biden and Trump anymore. The Green Party offers us a way out of this dystopian nightmare but how many will take it?

The list of things that sicken me from both parties is long, but certainly near the top is the assertion that Dems are defenders of democracy. They take the cake for undermining free speech, ballot access, "election interference" claims and respect for the sovereignty of other nations all the while trashing anyone and everyone who stands in their way. And sadly, it took less than 48 hours for the rank and file loyalists to begin with their posts on how anyone can have a bad night and Joe's the man. Have mercy on us.

Disappointed to read that my old home state has turned this corrupt. Thanks for your work Matt.

Thank you Robert. Private corporations feeding at the public trough continually delivers great profit for corporations with declining service for the public. How could that inverse relationship ever be otherwise?
