Those tear gas canisters were probably "Made in the USA," Matt. In a way, you were gassed by your own country.

Thanks for doing what you do.

I’m pretty sure they were, made in Pennsylvania if I believe right. Happy Thanksgiving, Bill.

Moving photos. I don't know how you kept your cool after being repeatedly teargassed. I don't know how so many kept their cool living in a concentration camp on their native lands for so long, either. #FreePalestine

Thank you. The gas is very debilitating. No real ability to lose your cool, because you’re really incapacitated.

Reading this was soul wrenching. Mr. How, you excel in your humanity. OMG, nothing can justify Israeli behavior; only evil explains it.

Thank you Teresa. Yes the end of the occupation is the only solution. Until then there will always be resistance opposed to injustice and subjugation.

When we were there I learned a term the Palestinians used: samud, meaning steadfastness. Their endurance, their steadfastness, is awe inspiring and amazing.

Happy thanksgiving to you and yours.

It's probably because I'm too old (pushing 70) to be anything but cynical about the proposed hostage swap but Bibi has already said if it happens the cessation of hostilities will only last long enough for the exchange to be made. Once the Israeli hostages are back in the fold, there is nothing left to stand in the way of Gaza being turned into a parking lot.
