Thank you for this, Matt. I've copied and placed on my online Voter Gazette and also Global Nuclear Arms digest, since I believe the current global militarism is dangerously leading to nuclear war. I'll also restack this. Bless.

Thanks Roger. I appreciate that. Your writings on nuclear war, as well as your other writings, are so important on multiple levels to me.

I keep asking people to take to the streets en masse, but they look at me like I am crazy. There is a huge lack of moral courage in the US, unfortunately. Words like yours are so important, because we really need to love one another and truly understand what resistance looks like.

"It's a mistake of the Empire to think that the diminishment, the destruction of individuals and families will somehow destroy the Palestinian people."

There's one thing you can say about bullies: They believe their victims to be weak and incapable of fighting back. Yet, at the same time, they are also terrified at the strength and resilience and defiance of those they wish to victimize. In that I would find hope--hope that the fears and terrors of the Israelis will eventually lead to their downfall. The Israelis are making so many mistakes on so many levels. All the Palestinians have to do now is to keep standing until the bullies run away and never return.

Unfortunately the Israelis believe they have no where else to go. Many of them believe the land they occupy is their land, they don’t see themselves as occupiers.

A lot of white people in North America and Australia don't see themselves as occupiers of the land they stole, either. It's up to the white nations who helped to create "Israel" back in 1948 to admit their sins of keeping Jews out of their countries and help the occupiers see the errors of their ways. The "double passport" people can return to their country of origin, as many have. The rest can be taught the truth and learn to live in peace with the indigenous peoples. If they continue to be violent, they can be locked up in all those prison cells they created for Palestinians. Eventually, they should learn how to share and not steal from others.

"I'll not say hope, I'll say defiance.

I won't look to hope, I'll look to resistance.

I will not express sentiments of hope, but acts of solidarity.

And I will not trust in hope, but in the resilience of a people."

Well said!

Hope is useless, at best it is ineffective at its worst it is like handcuffs for the brain. The fight is all that matters. Very disturbed by what Ireland and south aftrica are doing.

Mr. Hoh, yet again you have brought comfort to me as my soul dies because I live in the Fourth Reich. The American government is perpetrating a holocaust. Israel/America delenda est. The depravity and total criminality of the American Empire will live in infamy until the end of recorded time. I will not shut up. I will speak out. I will resist.

Thank you Matt.

I saw your interviews with Napolitano just as you returned from Palestine. You were shaken with the indignity of it -- the observation post; the Israeli children bussed in to pump fists over the destruction of Gaza. It was impossible not to catch and feel the outrage, the inability to fathom the inhumanity.

But still -- What Can We Do?

Thank you.

Find local Palestinian and Arab American groups and show up and support them, that’s what I suggest as the first thing people can do.

Just watched this documentary about various forms and incidents of resistance that occurred during the WWII Holocaust: https://www.tpt.org/resistance-they-fought-back/ Although one might question some aspects of the film, the central point about Jewish resistance (called "Amidah") against the Nazis, under the most brutal and horrible of conditions, is startlingly similar to the bravery of Palestinian resistance.
